Current Building Description
An individually designated New York City landmark, the Cyril and Barbara Rutherford Hatch House was designed by Frederich J. Sterner, from 1917-19. A large wrought iron gate runs across the lot line in front of the facade creating an areaway. The entrance is through an arched wooden door with an elaborate surround and pediment which creates a small balcony at the second floor for an elaborate French door under a broken pediment. The windows on the ground floor have detailed elaborate surrounds, while the remaining windows have simple block surrounds. The facade is clad in stucco and has a sill course under the third floor windows directly above which is the clay tile roof.
Original Building Description
3sty, NFP Private Residence, 32'x95'x33'H; $30,000.
